Professor Dominic Regan
As the Director of the Knowledge Hub, Professor Dominic Regan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the training platform. With a strong focus on litigation issues, Prof Dom is widely recognised for his extensive writings in this field. His insights and contributions have earned him the opportunity to assist the Judiciary on aspects of civil reform, including advising Sir Rupert Jackson on the extension of fixed costs. This significant development, set to take effect in April 2023, showcases Prof DR's influence and impact within the legal landscape.
Dominic's expertise also extends to alternative dispute resolution, particularly in relation to mediation. His recent collaboration with Lady Justice Asplin, who is overseeing the implementation of measures empowering courts to order parties to mediate, highlights his commitment to contributing to the advancement of the legal system. In their joint discussion, they shared their optimism for the progress of these measures, with the expectation of having Rules in place within a year.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Prof Dom is dedicated to pro bono work and serves as an advisor to the Group investigating the Post Office litigation fiasco.
